What is thread lifting?

Thread lifting is a technique used to lift skin sagging issues. Using various coiled absorbable  sutures, the area of concern is lifted and held in position.  These sutures are safe and similar to ones used in cardiothoracic surgeries. Your skin fully absorbs it within 4-6 months, leaving you without any scar tissue.

How Does thread lifting work?

It works by creating a selective inflammatory response. This is the same principal behind many other medical aesthetic procedures such as lasers, microneedling and skin peels. When the threads are inserted they promote a controlled healing environment that naturally creates new collagen.

Threads can be inserted in a variety of patterns to address specific issues. They can help to rebuild overall skin tone and to lift specific areas of the face to help restore the triangle of youth. Thread lifting can be done in every area of the face and are especially effective in the neck and jawline and heavy eyelid area.

What is the procedure like?

The procedure takes 45min-1 hr. After topical anesthetic is applied threads are inserted using needles. Patients say that it feels similar to other cosmetic injectable treatments like getting dermal filler.

Results are seen immediately and get better over time, downtime is minimal.
